It's me in early spring 2014. I am standing in front of the windmills in theΒ vast steppe of the Lugansk region.
I did not expect back then that Russia would secretly introduce troops and start a war conflict, occupying these fields, occupying my hometown.
And this is April 2022, civil car on one of the roads to Kyiv. It's one of the many horrible pictures I've taken since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. There are no words actually to describe shortly what it means to doubt whether you stay home or run away from death. And what if you keep running but get caught up again by Russian soldiers and tanks.
Russia brutally continues the bloody war despite the strong resistance of the Ukrainian army. The majority of Russians support the actions of their government or silently tolerate it. Many of them rejoice at the shelling of peaceful cities, the killing of civilians, and the destruction of Ukrainian culture.
